MT. HAMIGUITAN TRAIL RACE

Mt. Hamiguitan is the only mountain in the Philippines under UNESCO World Heritage Site and ASEAN Heritage Park. The mountain was also known as sanctuary of bonsai trees and home of famous Philippine Eagle PAMANA.

3rd Edition of Mt. Hamiguitan Trail Race will be on October 27, 2018 @ Brgy. Talisay, San Isidro, Davao Oriental, Philippines. Schedule is also in celebration of Asian Heritage Site of Mt. Hamiguitan.

50km (Professional) – 5AM

25km (Beginners) – 6AM

Course Description

* 25km out & back route to complete the 50km Mt. Hamiguitan Trail Race
* 34km single track trail (17km out & back mountain trail)
* 14km dirt road trail (7km out & back)
* 2km pavements (1km out & back road) near Mt. Hamiguitan Eco-Park
* 30x river crossing for 50km (15x out & back)
* 24x river crossing for 25km (12x out & back)
* Forest and open trail
* Cliff and ridges running/trekking for 50km & 25km
* Lots of Drinkable Springs & Natural Swimming Pool, haha!
* Starting Point: 15m Above Sea Level (ASL) only, 20m away from shoreline
*Highest Point: 800m ASL – Mt. Hamiguitan Trail Race Peak @ Siete Altares 1km+ below Mt. Hamiguitan summit
* Temperature: Windy and cold at the forest and ridges

Hamiguitan Mangla Ridge - Siete Altares (2nd & 3rd mountain) - Mt. Hamiguitan Natural Museum (EcoPark) – Mantalinga Ridge - Magtalinga Peak (50km turning point)

Start/Finish Brgy. Talisay Covered Court – Sitio Tingaw – Tingaw Mountain Ridge (1st & 2nd mountain) – Maputi Bridge - Lahi Hanging Bridge - Bitaogan Dam Bajada (25km turning point)

Note: Every Aid Station has its own medics or first aider; do not hesitate to ask for assistance. The organizer don’t offer any food or trail food with wrappers like chocolates, better bring your own and put it on a ziplock or plastic bag. Thank you.

Note: DNF Fee is only P100 the nearest and P200 the farthest for your own “habal-habal” ride going back to start/finish or Brgy. Talisay proper.

Cut-Off Time

50km Category (15H to FINISH)
* 0500 – 1400 – 9 Hours, Gunstart to Nanay's Kubo Ulingan – turning point
* 1400 – 2000 – 6 Hours, Nanay's Kubo Ulingan to finish line

25km Category (9H to FINISH)
* 0600 – 1100 – 5 Hours, Gunstart to Bitaogan Dam turning point
* 1100 – 1500 - 4 Hours, Bitaogan Dam turning point to finish line

* 0500 – 1400 – 9 Hours, Gun start to Magtalinga Peak (50km turning point)
* 1400 – 2000 – 6 Hours, Magtalinga Peak to finish line

25km Category (9H to FINISH)
* 0600 – 1100 – 5 Hours, Gun start to Bitaogan Dam (25km turning point)
* 1100 – 1500 - 4 Hours, Bitaogan Dam to finish line
